| I saw a guy selling an SAR-1 that he says he converted to select fire on gunbroker.com in the class III section. Is this possible and also how can you do it? |

any person or company holding a class 07 ffl and an sot (special occupatin tax stamp) can manufacture post may, 1986 dealer sample machineguns for the purpose of demonstration, sale (to law enforcement and government agencies) or business purposes. the pmds machinegun can only be purchased by another qualified person, agency or corporation and not by an individual citizen. |

Yes. I'm sure it's very possible to convert a SAR-1 to select fire. I don't know what you would need for parts or how you would go about the conversion. But I'm sure it can be done. But like Campy said. It is NOT legal for the vast majority of us to do the conversion or even to POSSESS a SAR-1 converted to select fire. |
Is it possible to make a SAR1 select fire!!!!!![]() The hard part is making em semi auto, give me 12 hours and a pile of parts and I will build you a freakin Cuisinart that will run at 800 RPM, and take beta C mags. Of course doing so will probably land me in dutch with the FDA and they will burn me out, kill the old lady and dog, and give me 20 to life. Chuck (Evil genius) |
