I am new to the ak 's and recently bought an Intrac ak47 with the Dragonov stock. The receiver has a square hole behind the trigger and I am wondering if that is the hole for a pistol grip  to attach or will one fit on it? I don't care for the stock and want to go with a fixed polymer stock and handguards.

Yes it is. The somewhat rectangular pistol grip nut hangs thru the hole at the correct angle of the grip and the long bolt passes thru the grip into the nut.
