Went to the local gun show here in York, Pa and was shocked to see the prices for Romanian AK's. The cheapest we saw was a 10/63 for $599.00
I'm sure there are better deals than that on the internet. I can't understand why the show prices are so outrageous. After paying 9 bucks to get into the show
you would think the dealers would be a little bit more reasonable with their prices. I found an extra magazine and muzzle break for my Rommy that were priced well
and my in-laws got a fair deal on a Bushmaster AR , $825 with detachable hand rail, optics, hard case and sling. I was pushing him towards an AK  until we saw the crazy pricing.
I paid just $399.00 a year ago for mine. What's going on?

Yeah I personally think this is the start of another 2008 pre election panic. Prices are rising all around and some people are reporting shortages in theirs areas. I've seen plenty of inventory around here still but prices on new WASRs @ my local dealer are up to $535 for the 5 he just got in.

AR prices have been dropping and he's had an increasing inventory of them, along with accessories.

Stopped by my local shop today.  $499 for Romys.  Gun show back in January they were $459 at the cheapest place I saw.  Some were higher.  Everything is going up.

Then again guys:

A Wasr 10/63 is $479 (If you order 5) from J&G Sales+$15 shipping apiece=$494.......And you're B****ing because the dealers still aren't asking $499?      Also, the dollar that was worth 85 cents last year, is worth 65 cents this year......inflation anyone

I'm not happy with the prices either, especially on accessories and ammo, but alot of the "over-priced" guns people complain about is nothing more than dealers trying to make a living and adjusting for how much less their dollar buys.

Now I'm not saying alot of dealers are cashing in on people "NEEDING" a gun, and counting on non-internet people to make sales.   But in today's WHOLESALE market pricing, $525-$550 over the table for a new Wasr10 is the reality.

I'm not complaining as I'm not in the market for another rifle unless I find a too good to pass up deal, just reporting what's going on in my area. I used to think WASRs were a great bargain for under at or around $400. But I cannot say that any more when they're over $500 now. There are just too many other rifles that are just as cheap or not much more for better fit and finish if you look around.  He'll at this rate they'll be the same price as arsenals by the end of the year.

Guns are the "in" thing right now.   Gun, ammo and related stuff is selling like hotcakes everywhere.   Prices are outrageous because people are paying.

Most people incorrectly assume that gun shows will have the lowest prices so they jump at these crazy prices ... vendors are laughing all the way to the bank.
