| I just acquired a WASR 10 from a private party. It has plastic upper and lower handguards. They don't fit well, are loose and inhibit use of the rear sight. Is there a source for just the wood handguards? Thanks, Dennis |

There are several guys that refinish and sell AK furniture on this site. One in particular, Sinatra, has several variations that he sells. Plus he will also work with you to make a custom color set. Luckily, I live in the same area as he does and I gave him my original WASR set to refinish. I like the "Russian Red" look of the original Russian AKs, but I wanted it a little darker. He matched it to exactly what I was looking for. Great guy to deal with! Here is a link to one of his threads in the Equipment Exchange forums. He has several examples of his work posted there.
