VERY happy!

Took the PSL out for the first time. Sighting the rifle in was a real PITA. I had a laser bore sighter but at 100 yards I couldnt see the dot. Anywho after burning up most of my ammo I took this 10-shot group. Let me first preface that this was my first time really using a scoped rifle. For a rest I had a folded up sweater, the PSL mag pouch and a can of grizzly under the buttstock. I was using Bulgy 147gr surplus.

I think I may need to invest in handloading, an RSA adj trigger, longer LOP and higher power scope, I could get real close to 1 MOA or better. what do yall think? Red dot is 1".

Glad you had fun.  Suggestion:  When zeroing a new rifle or a new scope on a rifle, start out at 25 yards with a large piece of paper for a target backer.  Get your shots on paper close to point of aim.  You'll waste less ammo this way.  Then move out to 100 yards and zero.

To save ammo when sighting in, always start at 25. Also must have a steady rest. Shoot first shot. Now while holding rifle steady on the bullseye adjust the scope to the bullet hole of first shot. Saves a lot of ammo. If you can take out the bolt and look down the barrel then center the barrel on a far away target then adjust scope to same target. I use an old Stuart sight vice. I can usually get on target at 100 in 4 shots.

What kind of laser did you use I have one that goes in the barrel and is a pita to get centered because of the brake.  Like everyone else said start much closer to get your scope in the general area to save ammo.  I sight my laser in at 25ft then start on paper at 25-50m dail it in then push out to 100m.  Anyway well done looks like she is a good shooter enjoy it!

Fired mine for the first time this weekend. Able to hit 18" plates with my irons at 250M pretty consistently.. then went out to 600M and hit a bell shaped plate 4.5' wide at the bottom 3 out of 4 times. Was pretty happy with that. Of course, this was after beating the FSB with a hammer to get it lined up properly. Never noticed it before i got it out to the range, but it was canted right slightly. But lord.. that trigger pull... horrible!

I was using the Walmart special multi-cal bore sighter. Ive had good luck with it in the past and it fit just fine, even with the brake. I just think it was running out of batteries.

I have 20-20 vision but a 1" red dot was pretty hard to pick up in extremely overcast/drizzling conditions about an hour before sunset with the 4x scope.

Overall a true ten shot group at just a smidgen over 3MOA with surplus ammo and in the conditions I had I was very satisfied. I am itching to get out there again! It was so fun!

What is the part# for the swivel stud from midway to us a bipod?

We have both been down the same road.

I do not use my wal mart laser sighter at range because is not strong enough at 100.   i use at home on wall. works ok to use at indoor range.

one of my problems is that i have not been able to get a consistent 'chin' weld so I added 2 layers of pipe insulation and now I get a lower tooth weld that is better.

try shooting with iron sights.  I love iron sights and whenever i want to check what i think is a scope problem i use my iron sights.

My irons were dead on from the factory I was very pleased by that seems to rarely be that way with the domestic guns I have purchased recently.
