These are the same as an AK, right?  I just want to make sure before I purchase a Tapco G2 trigger to replace the stock FCG in my PSL. Thanks!

Oh, I don't even have it yet. A friend and I went in together and bought two of them and 8 mags from AIM.  Now, as soon as I pay him back I need to beef up my 7.62x54r collection I already have going.

Man, I almost forgot, I have to order a scope from Kalinka first. So many toys so little money. My wife is going to kill me. LOL

Yes the AK trigger is the same as the PSL. I have the G2 trigger in a couple of my guns, but i highly recommend the Red Star Arms adjustible trigger. Had my gunsmith install it in my PSL& i will never go back. It is the sweetest trigger of any of my firearms & trust me i own a few. You can set it up as single or double stage if you like. Myself i like a two stage trigger. Am planning on installing 2 more in my AK74's.

I would try yours before you buy another as some of them are fine right out of the box.  My factory PSL has the FCG that came in it.  The one I am building is going to have the Red Star one.

I have the RSA trigger in my PSL and I love it.

If you do go the way of the RSA, make sure you double check the settings on it.  The instructions say it is adjusted as a 2 stage with a light pull when you get it, but I know of people having issues with double fires because the trigger was improperly set.

Excellent advice TriHawk!  The factory trigger in my PSL is quite nice in the scheme of things.  Using my Lyman digital pull gauge, I measure the first stage at a pretty consistent 4 lb - 8 oz.  The second stage only requires 1 lb - 11 oz to break.  I will admit the take up on the first stage is a bit long.  But, the trigger does break cleanly on the second stage.  So... definitely wait until your PSL arrives and you have a chance to break it in before ordering an aftermarket trigger.  You might save some coin which can be put towards more ammo (the PSL has a big appetite ).
