Here is a quick slap together shot after I finished cleaning the wood:
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i282/952melvin/Firearms/DSCF0493.jpg Amazing how much crap was in the wood, used a acetone soak, with bake time in the oven at 175 degrees, light sanding with 220, and then 0000 steel wool. just put on a coat of the finish! |
|
Finished the project, put it together to get a pick quick and now its back apart drying up more.

I think you've been bitten. So...what are your plans for your NEXT AK? Nice job on the wood, btw. Lol, ya I think I have! I kinda want an AMD-65, and I also saw a nice AK with a nice deep rich yellow stock set. I wanted a Russian Red stock, but when I saw the yellow I almost wanted to do that too. I see how this can get addicting, it was a lot of fun to do this, and feels good to have "my touch" and work into it. |
