The 2 threaded holes in "tang" for mounting to the receiver are a fine thread 5mm. The 2 screws that came with the folder may be metric but are definitely a course thread. Would Lowes carry what I'm looking for? What have you guys done?

The local Ace Hardware has a wide variety of the correct screws. Take your pick of styles; Phillips, standard, hex wrench in flat or oval head.

Look in your phone book for an automotive fastiner store or a Screw and Bolt store.  The will have what you need. If not, buy the screws from Numrich arms in New York.  They will have them.

Can't be absolutely sure, but those look like what came with the folder.

Those screws with the allen head sockets are not the correct screws but do work, the correct screws were just a standard slotted head but seem to be hard to find.
