I have a great shooting PSL but I want to switch the stock FCG for a Tapco G-2. I have switched the FCGs in AK-47s with very little trouble. Unfortunately I cannot remove the Sheperds Hook in the PSL so I can switch it out. Any suggestions or advice ?  TIA

I just put a Red Star Arms trigger in mine.  I had some trouble getting the old sheperds  hook out as well. It was in there tight.  I found that using a small screwdriver helped.  I used it to push the hammer spring away from the receiver wall, then pried the sheperds  hook out through the mag well. Once I got it loose with the screwdriver, I grabbed it with a pliers and yanked it out.

I've heard that they do. When I took the original FCG out of my PSL, I stuck into my WASR and it fits and functions just fine. When ordering the Red Star Arms trigger kit (from thier web site), I noticed that there was one specific to the PSL and that's the one I ordered. What is the difference? I have no clue. Did it work? You betcha! I kept the original FCG out of the PSL in a bag, just in case, for some odd reason, the RSA trigger gave up the ghost on me. It hasn't and I am as happy with it as a man can be.

It functions great and definitley increased my accuracy with the arm.

The PSL trigger is interchangeable. I think the romanians did that on purpose to have part commonality. When I got my RSA trigger it was labeled as a AKM47 trigger and I ended up calling red star who confirmed I had the right trigger.
