WASR GP 10/63

Are these the best WASR's out. How do they compare to the SAR AK's. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Personally, I've found the GP WASR 10/63s are the best of the WASRs, but it should be noted that one still needs to evaluate each rifle and not trust blanket statements. Now, one should be aware that "best WASR" actually means "still bottom barrel, but I've seen worse!"

In comparison to my (long gone) SAR-3 rifle made in 2000, my GP WASR 10/63 seems to be better assembled and the finish is much better. The mags in the GP 10/63 wobble a wee little bit, but I own this gun for range fun and to have yet another SHTF option (or loaner), not for stealthiness

I have a GP Wasr 10/63 and love it. I have never had any problems with it not that you should with any ak type rifle.

Agreed, mine has a slightly canted gas block, and I fixed the cant in the front sight. Shimmed the magwell and now it doesn't wobble (very much). For very little work, you can get them to be a little nicer. Mine has gone bang every time, and ate everything (hollowpoints, softpoints, fmj, lacquered cases and all) like candy right out of the box. A lot of the WASR bashing is just because they aren't the best quality machine work, and small issues, but mostly none of them affect performance, and all can be fixed by a little brainpower and brute force. It's everything an AK should be, but nothing more.
