Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the Gas Block on a WASR?  If so, any suggestions on a procedure?

Thanks!  I'm new to the list and looking for some help!

If you like to tinker with your rifle, you can get a Romanian gas block from http://www.k-var.com/shop/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=4 and install it yourself.

If you are changing it so a bayonet can be mounted, a good welder can put "ears" on your existing gas block and you would then tweak them with a file until they work.

Thanks for the info from each of you!  Not sure which way I want to go yet, but I didn't know my options before either.

Much appreciated!
