Years back I had a slant brake put on my SAR-1 by GlobalTrades.  This was back when they had to be permantely attached so it is pinned.  I noticed today that the slant brake moves a little.  I have hard that the removeable slant brakes do move some when installed but I don't think a permantely installed one shoudl do this.  What do you think?

I dont' know for sure but I assume when they put the break on they had to thread my barrel and then they permantely pinned it.  Would I be able to remove the old brake and buy a new removable one and install it?

Do you think this would work?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

If the barrel was threaded, you should be able to push in the pin and remove the break.

You would need to install a spring and plunger to keep the removable brake on, unless that was done when the pinned brake was installed.
