OK, This may seem kind of silly. Everyone worries about canted gas blocks and canted front sight bases,
I was very lucky as both of those things are perfectly in line on my romanian.
The one thing that isn't is my slanted muzzle brake. It's really slanted off to one side.
Not really an issue since the gun works flawlessly even after installing an aftermarket gas tube etc.
It just looks kind of funny, Can this be fixed or even better is there someone who sells a threaded muzzle nut for these.
I don't really care if it has a brake or not.
My only other thought was just to file off the slanted portion of the brake myself and make it basically a home made muzzle nut.

Is it a slant brake like the one below? If so, it's perfectly normal...

It's slanted to counteract the tendency of the muzzle to rise and move to the right (for a right handed shooter) when firing full auto. It's really a compensator not a brake, since it doesn't reduce recoil.

Actually yes, That is exactly how mine is slanted, It kind of slants off to the left.
If this is normal I just wont worry about it as everything else lines up perfectly,
Thanks.

Actually, for the purpose it was designed to serve, the slant brake is lined up perfectly.

Yes, the Soviets thought about every little detail - even though it's very simple in theory...except for southpaw shooters

I really like the simplicity of Kalashnikov's designs!

We just file another notch so it slants the other way.
