Hey everybody, I've got a question for you, the front sight on my new WASR AK from Century is off center to the left as you can see in the pictures below.  My question is: How do I fix it?  Is this problem what this tool is for?  Or would something like this be better?  Any help would be appreciated.  Here are the pictures.  Sorry for the crappy quality.

That is how you adjust the windage on an AK.
There is a tool for pushing the sight to the left or right. (the tool in your link from Brownells)

Your gun is probably sighted in at that position. I wouldn't move it unless you are able to shoot it first

Shoot the rifle. If it doesn't shoot to point of aim, buy the TAPCO tool (which they sell cheaper IIRC). Avoid the $7.95 tools like the plague. They don't work to adjust windage  (designed to fit a smaller Chinese drum) and often break when used to adjust elevation (soft steel).

Thanks for the responses guys.  I ordered the Tapco sight tool.  I still haven't shot the rifle yet, so I will do that before I start messing with the sight.  I just thought it looked wrong.  Thanks again for the help!

Definitely shoot it before you start moving the sight.  Romanians are know for using the entire adjustment range to zero the rifle.  I have two Romanians and one of them had a canted front sight base before I fixed it.

Here is a good source of info: Linx310's Romanian Page

That's a perfect example of a canted front sight, likes others said shoot it before doing anything. If it hits where you aim it there is a fairly easy fix to get the sight close to center of windage again, just lock the barrel in a vice and use a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer and smack the front sight base to the left, it won't take much. One of those laser bore sighters (that go in the muzzle) make it a lot easier to adjust the sight base so the sight post is close to center.
