i have a question about front sight cant.
i've heard it's when your front sight is leaning to the left or right. my rifle does not have that problem, my front sight is perfectly vertical.

but, the actual front sight post is not centered, it is farther to the left. is there a way to fix this? or is that what sight cant actually is?

cant is tilted , you have windage if your sight is off center.  If it shoots point of aim leave it alone.

This is what actually sight cant is, and it is fixable.

When you straighten front sight base, you should confirm it with laser bore sighter, or better yet by live firing at the range before drilling (reaming is better) for new pins.
.004" lateral movement of front post will move POI 1 inch at 100 meters.
This will give you an idea how much to rotate front sight base.

Arsenal uses high tech laser fixture (contraption) to align front sight bases and on many occasions ends up with canted sights. Live fire is foolproof.
