I posted this in the general AK are a few days ago, I'm hoping for more responses here. I have a new WASR-2. I'm no newbie to AK's, and I fully understand the proper procedure for bolt dissassembly. Problem is, the pins will not come out. I've soaked it in penetrating oil and tried a vise, punch, hammer combo to no avail. Has anyone encountered this before? If so, what is the fix?

Never had one fight me before, but be sure to remove the firing pin retaining pin first, using a small punch to drive out the pin from bottom to top. After that, the extractor pin should just push out (it isn't a tight press fit).

Does your firing pin move freely...?

Yes it does.

I have broken a few punches before trying to remove stubborn pins on those bolts, but always managed to get them out.  Keep soaking it in a high penetration oil (Kroil, WD40, etc.).  I have mic'd the pins before on about 20 bolts and found there was a .001" variance in dimensions between them.  When installing the pins back in the bolt, if I find one that is too tight I then try a different pin.  I want the pin to be moderately tight (not too loose or not too tight-should not have to sledge hammer them in).  Anyway, just keep trying and it should come out.
