I just traded a WASR-10 for a Chinese Type 1 Hunter.  I told the guy that the two were not equal in value, but he wanted a more "tactical" model, so I feel like I got a pretty good deal.

The action is very smooth and the trigger is the best AK trigger I have seen.  The only problem I have is that the buttstock is just a inch or so too long.  Are there other stock options out there that I could use, or do I have to modify the existant stock?  It is a milled receiver with a slanted back end.  Thanks.

I have never owned a WASR myself but I think I would have kept the WASR.

The Chinese hunter can be converted to a galil clone but I don't currently have any links to the guides on how to do it.  You can try google.  I know of no sources of other buttstocks that might work unless it will take a ironwooddesigns MAK-90 milled angle cut buttstock.

Thanks Mak.  I will look around for the Galil info.

I've already replaced the WASR this last weekend at a gunshow.
