When is the last time you gave your chamber a good scrubbing? Furthermore, when is the last time the gun was field stripped and properly cleaned? It is possible that you are suffering from lacquer build up in the chamber, if you are shooting lacquer coated steel cases OR you could just be suffering from plain ole carbon build up in the chamber or gas system. Aside from a dirty chamber, do the extracted casings look like they "blew up" anywhere on them. Do those cases look deformed in any other way? If so, there may be some sort of headspacing problem. Lastly, what is the condition of your steel cased ammo? Is it slightly rusted or pristine? Was it properly stored or just left sitting on a shelf somewhere in a hot environment? |

OK I have cleaned the chamber just recently and given it a good scrubbing but if there is laquer build up, do I need to be using something special to get that out??? My Ammo is totally pristine it is in an ammo can loose now, but from the purchase time until about 6 month ago it was in a case in 20rd factory boxes.. There is NO corrosion and the cases look great.. I have not noticed that the ejected cases look any different but I wuill check it out again the next time I have this problem.. Thanks for your help and if U have any further advice please feel free to let me know.. M |
