I own two MAK-90's myself, and I paid about $350 for one, and $375 for the other. The more expensive one was new. I don't think you'd be able to get more than $400 for either of yours, unless you're a damn fine salesman!

These are pre-ban

MAK-90s ARE NOT pre-ban!  The name stands for Modified AK 1990.  Sure it may be pre 1994 AWB, but it definitely IS NOT PRE-BAN as in the 1989 ban that stopped the original AKs from coming in with those 10 evil "features".

These rifles do not hold the same value as the Polytech legends or the other Chi-com rifles that had bayonet lugs, folding stocks, threaded barrels, etc.  Other dealers may "ask" $700 or more for them, but only a fool would purchase one at that price when there are other current production AKs that cost less.

ETA:  at the funshow this past weekend, a dealer had a "NHM-90" for $489.  They have had this same rifle since 1999 or so, and every time I see them, I try to grab it for $300 cash and the answer is always NO.  I wouldn't mind having the threaded barrel, which involves getting that dang welded piece off; but I hate underfolders so $489 is way too much to pay for the thumbhole stock version to convert it, even though it is a new rifle.

Thanks.............I stand corrected.  As I mentioned in my first post, I have absolutely no idea what I have here.

No problem and I apologize if I came off too harsh.  I saw a dealer a few gunshows back advertising a MAK-90 as pre-ban and it made my blood boil.  His $800 price tag didn't help either.  Sure it had the original chinese drop down stock, pistol grip, etc, but it had a 93 in front of the serial number (import year of 1993), no bayonet lug and no other 922(r) compliance parts in it.  In other words, he was trying to sell an illegal gun as a "pre-ban" rifle with a price of $800 with "no paperwork".  All that gun would be good for is getting someone fined and/or sent to jail for being in possession of an illegally configured, currently banned import rifle.

I should have turned that jerk in for being a FFL and trying to sell a gun with no paperwork.

Saddest part of this story is an acquaintance of my brother's is a prominent gun dealer in our area.  In 1996 he talked me into investing $1,500 in these two rifles and seven 30 round magazines "because in 5 years they'll be worth three times as much." (his words, exactly.) JERK!!! Guess he saw me coming!!!  Oh well, live and learn.

I will be nice and NOT tell you what his "dealer" cost was, assuming he acquired it through the normal channels.  Since your rifles are NIB, I would just hang on to them longer, unless you can recover your initial investment from someone.  If the Chinese weapons embargo NEVER gets lifted, their value may climb within the next few years.  I will warn you though, it seems that more MAK-90 variants were imported than any other AK variant.

I picked one up for less than $300 in 1996 with 12 magazines and 1,100 rounds of Norinco Ammo.  I have gone through the process of de-banning it so that I could slap the original furniture on it.
Here it is at the top pictured with my cousin's milled MAK-90 before I helped him de-ban his:
