A buddy of mine has a NHM91 with a wrecked muzzle. My question is: what are the steps to replace the barrel? we've already pressed out the barrel pin, but I wanted to ask here before we proceeded further.

We have access to presses, a lathe, etc. what kind of jig do we need to press the barrel out without damaging the reciever?

Also, does anyone know if a reg chinese ak barrel ( like the ones kengs sells ) will press in, or is the size different?

Or should I tell him to send the gun to a AK smith?

Thanks

The replacement bbl. will work fine. Shame they don't have any 20" heavy bbls. though...

Might try the other questions in the Build it Yourself forum.

Is it just the muzzle that's messed up?  Couldn't you just cut it down a bit and retain the original barrel?  It's a shame to lose a nice heavy barrel.
