| I posted a while back that my son was being given a like-new MAK90. He has received it, and it's a two-pin stamped receiver and shoots great. You talk about happy - he's been wanting a semi-auto carbine for some time and is in 7th heaven. He was talking about some mods, but after getting it in the box in new condition, I think he's going to shoot it and just take care of it. We've both learned a lot about the MAK90 since the subject came up - nice AKs. Back when they were being imported, I was just getting into guns and didn't get one, although I did have sense enough to buy an SA85M in 1996. |

Awesome Saxman1. While the parts are still available, you might want to grab an NOS Poly stock from the seller in Finland and grab a pistol grip. Later if he want to convert from a thumb hole he can do it with Chinese parts. Please keep the young fella away from the Tapco calalog ETA- Poly-tech stock. I bought mine off Ebay but, I think the seller has some on gunbroker as well. Just look for it to come from finland for about $40-50 shipped. David's collectibles has nice Chinese grips for about $35 shipped IIRC. I still need to do some trimming and drill the holes to finalize my conversion. |

Polymer or Poly-Tech wood? |
