| I had a buddy give me a Polytech MOD AKS-223 Cal. 5.56x45mm Semi-Auto. Well he was complaining about not finding any mags for the rifle and that its missing the reciever cover. And it has some light surface rust in spots. Well I am wanting to buy a reciever cover and possibly a mag for it and turn around and sell it. Its a pretty good looking rifle the rifling is in great shape and the rifle looks like it hasn't been fired. Any thoughts on where to get some parts? |

From what I've been told, Polytech .223 magazines are even more expensive and harder to find the Norinco .223 magazines... |

Yeah I got a top cover if you need it. But no luck on the Mags. ![]() hahahahaha. You can mod a number of euro mags or the 223 norinco or pony up about 80+ for the factory Poly Tech mags. I have three factory mags and one modded .223 norinco. I don't need any more.

I have a norinco 5.56 and used this method to convert at least three 30 rd mags into useable 5.56 chicom mags. Only drawback is the max rounds they will function with is 25 rounds due to there being no metal in the feed lips and they tend to flex after 25 rds. At this point though, they are better than nothing and have functioned without problems. Also my norinco came with a ak-74 mag with the rear magazine locking lug filed to fit. It feeds/functions with no problems with a full 30 rd load. |
