I have a BWK-92 and it is a post-ban weapon.
It doesn't have a flash hider on it and I wanted to put one on.
The problem is the barrel is not threaded.  Does anyone make a
flash hider that pins on or do I need to cut some threads?
Has anyone ever attached a flash hider that pinned to the end of
the barrel?
Any info would be most appreciated.
Thanks  Paul

I have a flash hider that you pin to the end off the barrel by using one of the pins from the Front Sight  Base. I took it off because it looked stupid as all hell. So is bought a front sight block and re-threaded the barrel. Much better results. Looked like an original gun . I took that off then put a spiker on it.
I think you would be better satisfied if you thread your barrel and used a Front Sight Block that the a spring and pin to lock the FH in place. You need this because your Fh will just unscrew and fall off.

One thing you'd have to consider is if there is enough metal left to thread the barrel. If there is, you're good to go. If there isn't though, you still have options. First, you could thread your barrel at 1/2"x28 (M-16) and use an AK slant brake that is threaded at that pitch. I know there was one company making them, but I don't recall who it was.
Your second option would be to make your own pin-on brake by drilling holes in an existing brake and notching the barrel for a pin. You could probably get by with a 2mm pin. And I would use the smallest hole and barrel notch possible.

There is a third option is one that I suggested to KVAR back on July 14th...press-on slant brakes and muzzle nuts. I received an e-mail from someone named Bob at KVAR saying they would bring it up at the next board of directors meeting. I don't know, maybe it's a bad idea or they just blew me off.

Edited to add:
I just remembered who made the AK slant brake in 1/2"x28 pitch, but they seem to be out of stock. Anyway, here is the link:
