For a Mak90 you could upgrade it by replacing the Front Sight Block. Then you could put the cleaning rod in place.

You could take the unfinished bolt and finish it be bluing it to match the rest of the gun.

FSB www.Armsofamerica.com
For bluing stuff goto www.brownells.com

Never herd of the Atf Bluing

When I use what they call "Rust Bluing" I use Dirty ass Diesel oil in the last part of bluing. Black Oxide Bluing is what you want .

is there any difference between the front sight found on the first link and one from red star arms that is 90$?

Do you have a link as I checked out RSA's site and see no original FSB?  Since you can get what would pass for a workable one for $20.00 I see no reason you would pay $90.00 for one unless it is a barrel stub from a preban Chinese rifle with both the gas block and FSB.

I agree. I put it there for some thought of different looking wood ideas.

You could make your own if you have the tools to do it. That's what I did.

how hard is it to remove the front sight assembly? do you just pop those 2 pins out? how about getting it realigned when its time to put the new one on?

My FSB wouldn't budge. I had to cut it off with a Dremel. Just a small cut, length wise, along the base and it came right off.

Just take your time when you put it on. Don't rush it. Just a little at a time till the pins line up.

Nothing is cheap anymore. Some things you have to, at least, try to do yourself.
