I recently got a Hungarian (or East German) side folder, and it fell apart. But now I don't know how to reassamble it correctly.

This is the stock:

And this is how I pieced it together:

It does funcion this way, but it's a bit loose...

Can someone confirm that this is the right way of assambling this folding stock? Or does someone mayby have an exploded view?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure that your folder is East German, I am not aware of any Hungarian made side folders. The DDR side folders were a bit complicated, there is an exploded view of them, I wil see if I can't find the link to it.

Your folder is East German and it looks like you got it back together correctly.  In its current configruation it will probably be a little loose until you actually install it into a receiver.  The locking mechanism has tapered faces that will compensate for normal wear.  When installed, the hinge block and the sheetmetal lip will be compressed and this in turn will cause more pressure to be applied to the spring and inturn the lever will push harder on the locking stud.  HTH.

Thanks, that explains it.
Unfortunatly it doesn't fit on my AK's. They all have milled receivers. But it's always nice to have By the way, with Hungarian I meant Romanian. I can't keep these two country's apart... The Romanians did made this folders, right?

Yes, the Romanians built a stock that was visually identical to the East German side folder, but used a simpler folding mechanism.
