Anyone have problems removing the gas tube?  I've flipped the lever up and for the life of me, it won't budge; almost as if its welded to receiver -

I know this may seem like a silly question....but have you removed the gas piston?

I've caught myself being in a hurry while cleaning and started cussing the dang gas tube because it was 'welded' on the gun and wouldn't budge -- when it dawned on me that I needed to remove the cover and gas piston first.

LOL - Yes I've removed it - That damn thing won't budge and I'm afraid of damaging it if I slap it -

Grasp it at the back end, close to the RSB, and pull straight up.

Pull hard and wiggle it a little. You won't damage it.

use the screwdriver in your cleaning kit to gently pry it away from the lower handguard.
