[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Arsenal SLR 105 Question

I have an Arsenal SLR 105 with bayonet lug and flashhider/brake. I was under the impression it should be a SLR 105A1 since it has the evil features. The receiver is marked SLR 105 and I bought it new in the box. Any ideas

They are marked SLR-105 or 105R regardless if they are evil or not.

the SLR-105 came into this country under the AWB.

They came in a butchered form with an ugly-as-sin thumbhole stock.

as far as I remember, the a1 was the longer nato length stock and the regular 105 was the warsaw length stock. the R designated the sight rail on the side.

I have a ban version SLR 105, it doesn't have a thumbhole stock. It is exactly the same as an SLR 105 A1 minus a threaded FSB and bayo lug.

They came in to the country butchered. Arsenal of Nevada made the modifications to standard stockset on the 105 and stockset, GB, and FSB on the A1.

The SLR105 A1 has the rail mount thingy on the left side of the reciever. The SLR105 doesn't. Both were offered in preban and postban configurations

Marketing names have evolved, including changes to the letters used to show a side rail.

An SLR 105 A1 doesn't have a rail, I have one. A SLR 105 A1R does have the rail. These are both no ban AKs.
