Just the other day i was slumming at the local gun shop and one of the sales guys was all smiles and said he just received one of the last remaining SA-M7A1's from Lew Thorton distrbutors. I think he had the opinion since i have my share of Arsenal guns this was going to be an easy sale. Here on the display wall was a SA-M7A1 which to me is one of the least popular ak's Arsenal produced. That nato style stock, 74 front sight and that egg beater funky flash hider just makes the gun to damm big and ugly. I started to laugh and said with curent price increases on these milled receiver ak's are out of reach for most shooters, including me.!!! The sales guy slips and says, hell were only asking market value of 900.00 bucks for the gun. I just said i would rather place a PS90 on consighment or buy A2 BM service rifle that price. A guess times have changed and i am glad i got most of my sam-7's in the six to seven range. |

I was cruising the local fun store just yesterday and came across an Arsenal SA-M7A1 with the underfolder. I'm just starting to look at AKs, and don't much about them other than what I've read here (have just ARs and FALs at this point). What I do know is that the price looked awfully high for what you get. It was so high I forget exactly, but it was >$1200! While the prices in this place run slightly high in general, I thought this was nuts! |

The SASA7 A1 i belive is the model. Underfolder and vary expensive even when they were first released. I own several diffderent models of the Arsenal line of Ak's and with the latest released of the SLR-105FR was a must have item but the underfolder is just to much money and i opted for the SAM7 Carbine. The carbine was a better choice and carried a more realistic price under 700.00 back in 2005. |
So you saw a SAS M7 A1? with the flash hider and 74 type front sight block and 24mm threads in CO? Where? Or did you see the SAS M7 with a muzzle nut and 14mm threads, AK pattern front sight block? |
