I have an Arsenal SA M-7 Classic.  It's the ban version.

Question is:  will it take a first model bayonet without modification?

Was told it would due to the style of gas block.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thx

I believe it will, since there are no bayo lugs on those types of rifles.

The trick is finding a nice bayo that will work, at a price you want to pay.

Anyone else know for sure?

The 1st. gen. pig sticker I have for my Classic won't lock.  I think I need a new front sight block for it to work.

I took the US made oversized muzzle nut off and put a standard Bulgarian muzzle nut on first.

You'll have to do that either way, so try it first with just the Bulgarian muzzle nut and if it won't work, then get the new front sight block.

Northridge International has some East German 1st. Gen bayonets that should work fine with a Type III AK (Classic).

Hope that helps.
