All I can really say is wow! That is the most fun I've had shooting in a long time. Had a member at my local range help me sight it in. But to be honest it was already sighted in from the factory. Ammo used was Wolf 122 FMJ. Magazines used were Bulgarian waffles; one 5rnd, two 30rnd. Absolutely no FTF, FTE or anything else. Unfortunately I shot my ghetto target holder so I couldn't really get an idea of what kind of groups it was getting. Before I shot my target holder I had 3rnds in a one inch diameter at 50yrds. The rest of my shots were at a steel gong at 200 yrds. After adjusting the rear sight to 200 I could just about hit the gong everytime. This was my first real experience with iron sights so I know I can do better with a little practice and getting used to looking through the AK's sights. I was amazed at the AK's accuracy, although not precision it is quite accurate. I also learned how to shoot it "full auto" (is this "bump" firing?). Although shooting at 200yrds was more fun in my opinion. I can't wait to get some Barnual ammo and try that. It seems no one in my area has ever heard of it. But anyway I look forward to shooting again maybe this Sunday. |
