Hi all,

there is a local AK for sale i have been eyeballing. i do not know enough about them so i thought i would get some input. mainly what is the quality of this model AK and is the asking price fair?

Its a postban rifle,a good rifle but WAY overpriced.Value $800 imo.The SLR96 came with the wood on it.Bayonet lug removed.
Do lots of research before jumping into the AK buying scene.Its a quality rifle,just not at that price he is asking.Forget about it and keep looking

These guns are not very common. The 96 is what the 95 should have been. The 95 is a milled gun built with AKM parts, however, the 96 has the true AK47 features, such as the correct 45 degree gas block etc. However, the max I'd pay is $700. GARY N4KVE
