Looking to possibly get this AK, Does anybody have any info on these? any oppinions and/or experiances? Is it better than a WASR build wise?

They're surplus Bulgarian Type-III AK-47s that have been de-milled and rebuilt on 1.5mm stamped receivers. They're imported with the typical ban features (welded muzzle nut, shaved bayonet lug ears, sporter stock, narrow magwell). What Centerfire does is throw on a bunch of hideous furniture and open-up the magwell to take high-caps. As they're built off milled guns they have thicker barrels along with the heavier receiver. A bit heavier to handle but supposedly more accurate, and the bore is chrome lined/hammer forged. One thing to note is that the rear trunnion is blocked-off like an AK pistol. There is still a tang for the buttstock, but installation of normal furniture requires one to cut the back of the trunnion off. Again, nothing you can;t do with a dremel tool and a little time.

IMHO they are higher quality rifles than wasr's. check thru this thread. should answer alot for you. but i would go w/ the low cap and save yourself some cash. pretty simple to switch over to hi-cap yourself.

I have heard that they have underfolder trunnions in them, is that true?

I returned the one I received from CF due to several issues. The main issue was the military issue European mags I got from Aim Surplus would not lock in to place.
