I was taking my AK 74 Bulgy apart. When I went to take off the gas tube it was very difficult. It looked like a small metal spacer. I lifted the latch and it comes up easily but it gets stuck. Any one else  have this problem or have a fix for it? Am I doing something wrong or do you just have to muscle it a little to get it to come loose. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance. I need the hives knowledge. Thanks keith375

When you flip up the gas tube release lever on the side of the rear sight base, you might need to rock it back and forth slightly while pulling up on the rear of the gas tube to help the rear of the gas tube clear out of the rear sight base.  lift up at the back while keeping the front in the front gas bloc, then lift it up and out after the rear tube has cleared the rear sight base.

Wiggling is often helpful if your AK is a tight fit (as many Bulgarian guns have).
