Hey guys first post here.  I was wondering if the pinned muzzle break can be removed and the barrel be threaded to take types breaks.  While I know the answer is yes, I'm wondering if there a way to do it with out tearing the rifle apart to pull the barrel.

Thanks in advance.

You won't have to pull the barrel.

Not sure how these muzzle devices are pinned on as I've never seen one. Sometimes, all they do is drive a solid (not spring loaded) pin into the detent hole and the muzzle still has perfect threads. Then all you have to do is pull the front FSB pin and pull the fake detent pin then replace with the normal parts and you're in business.

ETA: Post some pics, we'll be better able to help then!

I though all the M7's used a nut like this.

The 'ban style' version doesn't use the muzzle nut... They use this type of break.

this looks identical to the SLR 95.  Not sure how it comes off, but the cross refernce may help.
