I am new to AK's and I bought a SAM 7S from a guy the other day. I go to shoot it today and after 10 rounds it will not fully chamber a round. The last quarter inch of the round is sticking out of the chamber and will not go in. I looked for obstructions but don't see any. I tried three different kinds of ammo with no luck. Anybody know what my problem is?

Did you have one of the first ten rounds split and leave a fragment in the chamber?

That's the only thing I can think of.

You might try chambering a ruptured case extractor and see if any fragments come out.

I  looked at it really close tonight and I think that is what it is. Now I just have to buy a ruptured case extractor, anybody know where to find one? Thanks for the input guys.

Use your cleaning rod and beat it out..

Can't use a cleaning rod. It looks like a portion of the neck has been ripped off and is stuck in there. The edge of neck is so thin there is nothing for the rod to push on.

Try inserting a bronz brush in 33 caliber or larger from the chamber end and just the forward portion of the brush past the obstruction the bristles should be facing back and should grip the piece and come out when you pull it back.  Good luck
