I am looking at getting one of the New Bulgarian SSR 85C AKs from Aim Surplus. http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Bulgarian_SSR-85_7.62x39_Rifle.html Any input or thoughts on the choice? This is the max I am willing to spend(actually about $50 more than) and I think its my best option. oh and BTW... Its has to be post ban config as I am in NY, I already confirmed with AIM that they can ship to NY without the mag. |

I got mine from AIM a couple of weeks ago and it had enough problems that I had to return it. Bryan at AIM has been very prompt in correspondence with me and is replacing that rifle with a new one. I really liked it except for it's problems, and that could happen with anybodys product. Bryan offered me a quick refund, but I really liked the idea of having the Bulgy, so I opted for another rifle instead. I think you'll like the rifle and I have found out that you can buy from AIM with confidence. Good luck, Skip |

Several small things of minor importance. The big thing was severe feeding problems. I think I could have solved that myself as I do much of my own work, but I didn't want to foul things up on a new rifle and then expect Aim to step in and take care of it. I would not worry about it because as I told you, Aim will take care of you. No dumb question, no it does not have a side mount. Skip |
