I punched the pins out, but it is still on there and doesn't want to come off. My rifle was bought during the ban, so the muzzle brake was pinned on. I don't know if it is threaded or not. It is an Arsenal Inc SAM7. Any suggestions? |

I actually found out on another board how to do it. So I might as well post here in case someone is having the same problem. First you punch the pins out like I did. Second, you heat the brake up with a torch. Third, you use a dent puller (slide hammer) to remove the brake. OR Third, you get the dremel out with a cutting wheel and cut the brake without going to deep to the barrel and then remove it that way. |

Glad you sorted it out SS Is the barrel threaded under the shark-brake? If not, is that next for you? I take it your headed toward a barrel-nut, or the sometimes frowned upon slant brake. Never did understand the thinking on that original ban era brake. Ineffective and inconsistent with the styling of the original. |
Agreed! This is the main reason I did not buy one several years ago. It looked like a Tapco set screw job to me. Ruins the lines of an otherwise fine weapon. |
