I use militech on my firearms and I'm very pleased with the results. I just picked up a 107CR and, per directions on the bottle, applied a thin coat to all metal surfaces. The finish is flaking off!!!    . I can run my finger nail across it and it flakes right off. I use Militec on other guns, Lancaster, Krebs, Glock, etc. and never had this issue. Eventually I'll need to have this sucker refinished. I'm thinking GunKote. Who do y'all recommend for refinishing?

Yes their finish sucks ass. Hoppes will remove it too. Breakfree CLP won't, or should I say hasn't yet. Don't even think of gun scrubber or brake clear, it'll literally wash off in seconds. I'm leaning toward Gun Kote myself. I guess the good thing about the Arsenals are they have a good light gray park under that black paint so it should stick really well. |
