| Can somebody help me out. I just bought a new Lancaster and i'm having some trouble with the rear sight. I pushed the button on the side to adjust it. And now I think its stuck. It wont lock in to any of the detents. Is there a way to take it of and free it up some how. Any help would be appreciated. |

What about the warranty? If the button is stuck, the only way to remove the slide is to cut it off with Dremel. To replace with new slide you must remove the sight leaf first. It may be hard to find slide alone; then you'll have to purchase complete unit. .It is easy to remove the leaf with Campy Sight Tool, available from www.redstararms.com/ . |
| It slides freeley it just won't catch in the detents. I figured if I could slide it off the base i could free it up somehow. The button still moves ,but it acts like it won't pop back out all the way. Like the spring inside is hanging up or something. What do you think Richard? |

In that case, you must remove the sight leaf from the sight block. Then the slide will come off at the other end. Raise the leaf to vertical position and you will see that the spring keeps the leaf in the slots (holes). When you depress the spring, you push the leaf downwards and pull out. That Campy Sight Tool is used to depress the spring . Notice the channels through which the leaf rides to position. Study the design a little and you'll see what I mean. Check this video clip: www.redstararms.com/camptool.wmv Post your question in the main forum, there's more traffic, and the guys will help you out with other methods. I have read about them, but forgot how it's done. |
