I installed the compact receiver block in a non-Saiga AK. I have the 2 set screws extremely tight with loctite and after around 30 rounds the block begins to slip. If I slam the buttstock down it shoves the block back flush with receiver. I have spent hours trying to figure out why this is happening, there is no contact that I can see at all and must be just from recoil. I was going to remedy this by drilling 4 holes into the side of my receiver and use 4 Torx panhead screws in the 4 threaded areas on the side of the block to anchor it in place. I know these 4 areas on the ace block are for Saiga conversions / Trigger group holes but I think using them in my case will fix the problem I’m having without having to weld the crease between block and receiver.

Wanted to see if any of you guys knew what thread pattern are on the side of the ace compact ak block? I emailed them but it will probably take a few days to get a reply and i'm impatient. Looks like maybe 8-32 but I’m not sure and don’t want to strip the threads..oh yea, is there a template somewhere I can print out so I can line up exactly where the holes need to be drilled in receiver to meet the threaded holes in the sides of the ace block..that would just make it super easy.
