Hey all. I am attempting to adjust the front sight on my WASR 10/63 and have run into a problem. When attempting to bring the site up (POI down) it will only go so far then it stops. I looked at the bottom of the sight and think i have found the problem.

I believe the little weld there is stopping me from bring the sight up and more. I was thinking of just putting a screwdriver to it and breaking the small spot off. Has anyone had this or have fixed it? Thanks for the help. BTW, gun works great and shoots great. +300rnds with no problem. Only shoots 2" high at 50 yards. |

"When attempting to bring the site up (POI down) it..." You are correct sir. I have fixed the problem. I put the site all the way down so the weld was very accessible. Then i went to town with a screwdriver and a hammer (the Romanian way...) and got it off. I ended up prying it off, but it came off with a snap anyways. No marring of the surrounding medal, just a shiny spot on the bottom of the screw. Now i just need to go to the range and finish sighting it in. Thanks everyone. |
