I have a .22 conversion for my AK, and it has worked just fine until today.  Multiple cases ruptured - maybe 6 or so out of 100.  Then I noticed that the extractor had disappeared!  Has anyone experienced such a failure?  Should I ask for replacement of the parts?  I never heard of an extractor just plum escaping from a rifle!!!

Most likely, the extractor was blown out, when one of the cases ruptured.

his customer service is supposed to be the pits. I just found a new never shot kit in my gun room. do these work pretty well?? mine came with 2-30rd mags and has the receipt from 1989 in the plastic case. I can't remember how i even came to have it
He does list the parts breakdown on his website. it may be easier to just order the parts and wait and wait for them to come.

I think you're right.  I plan to order the parts.  No contact info for customer service that I could find.  In any case it may be true that the exploding ammo (ruptured cases) are the culprit.  I am surprised, though, this was Remington ammo!
