I've read several threads on this, followed the advice, and I still have a hammer follow situation.  Here's what I have;

1) Romy G kit

2) Nodak Spud receiver

3) Tapco G2 single hook FCG

On charging, the hammer follows 6-7 times out of every 10.    I have made no modifications at all to hammer.  The spring is installed correctly, and the catch spring does not seem to be binding.  I may try these things next:

1) Change pins

2) Change my current "shouldered" e-clips to standard e-clips on both pins.

3) Reshape hammer spring (seems to be hanging a bit on the back of the trigger)

4) What else?

I'm excited to shoot this thing, but won't take it to the range until I've got it working properly.

Thanks for any insight!!!

Are you using the NDS-3 "economy" receiver? On Nodak's site they state it shouldn't be used with the G2 because of compatibility issues. They have a section that shows how to fix it  at http://www.nodakspud.com/troubleshooting.htm

+1 to the above on NDS-3 & Tapco Single hook triggers.

I've built 2 G's on NDS-3 receivers. I used Tapco G2 double hooks in both. To use the double hook you need to cut a 2nd slit in the receiver.

Go slow on the 2nd cut, you don't want to cut it too deep.

One last thing, did you install the sleeve that goes over the trigger pin that comes with the G2? It's not just an aid for installation, it's required. Hammer follow will happen if that sleeve is not installed.

Thanks guys very much for the input.

I did figure it out, and it was "dimension stacking".  I followed the suggestions on Nodak's site for the fix, and it now works as it should!

If anyone else experiences this, you can:

1) use the double hook, or;

2) very CAREFULLY modify the sear/hammer to work.  It's not hard and requires only a file.

I used the double-hook FCG on my Yugo build and it still has the disconnector/bolt follow-on issue... I wonder if increasing the length of the second receiver cut would help....

I'm not impressed with the overall quality of the G2 FCG... no machined surfaces, just rough cast.
I think if the time was taken to make it more like the original Yugo parts with proper machining it would be fine...
Looks as though I will be modding mine...

BTW.. the original FCG functions flawlessly..
