I have read some of the postings on Jamming issues and the associated slop between the magazine and the release catch.  My question is that, how much space between the catch on the receiver and the magazines catch?  You know, how much is too much if you hold the magazine tighter into the receiver?

The jamming is by means of the bolt covering the aft quarter inch or more of cartridge with a dent near and aft of the shoulder (most likely from the feed ramp).

By the way this is an ITM Arms 74.  Circle 10 magazine.  My knowledge is more M4 than AK so bear with me.

I'm having the same problem too. Any info would be good, or a link to a post that has already coverd maybe.....
I will continue to dig and see if I can find it.

The rear of the magazine does not set high enough.
Pull the magazine to the rear and cycle some dummy rounds to see of that stops the overriding bolt.

Next time I shoot I will try to hold the mag (the bad mag) so that it is pressed into the receiver.  Probably gonna be a while.  My note:  All my mags (circle10) seem to eyeball the same gap between the mag catch and release.  Also, this is bulgarian surplus rounds.

Viva.
