I've been thinking about getting an arsenal SLR-105 (correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the 5.45 version). The one major thing that made me shy away from the lower quality AK47s (WASR and like) and SKSs is because of the horrible, heavy, mushy trigger. I just can't hit anything with it. Is the trigger on the SLR-105 a mushy trigger, or is it of better quality? If it is a bad trigger, are there any replacement triggers out there? Thanks. |
If you don't like the trigger the G2's are the ones I like also. 
I've been looking for a no ban with rail. Do you know where to find one Mak ?

Here's a pic of my SLR. I lucked out and got a great deal on it back when 5.45 ammo was in short supply. This is an awesome rifle, accurate and fun to shoot. As far as the trigger goes, on mine it's probably the only complaint I have about the gun. It is somewhat gritty and VERY light. The first time I fired it the round ended up in the berm below the target and I double bumped a second shot because I was not expecting the pull to be so light. I think this might be the norm for Arsenal guns, because the trigger on my converted SA-93 below feels the same way. Switching them out with a RedStar trigger would probably take care of these problems, but I'm a cheap b*****d so I haven't done that yet.  An SLR-105 may be a little more difficult to find because they aren't being made anymore, but they do come up for sale pretty frequently, and IMHO you won't regret picking one up. Mine has become one of my favorite shooters...
