Good morning. I'm looking to add a rail system to my Vector AK. I've looked at the Command Arms system and the also the Ultimak rail system. Command Arms about $75 top and bottom; Ultimak about $320 top and bottom. Does anybody have any experience with either or both of these two rail systems. Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance. The AK's sights are not raised above the receiver like they are on an AR-15. Thus, a traditional cowitness is impossible. You can get close (irons in the very bottom part of the sight picture) with an Ultimak gas tube and some optics with low mounts though. |
That's what I'm trying to say. I think it's physically impossible to get a full cowitness. But I personally would like the "lower 1/3" a lot better anyway. |
| No co-witness. The UTG is not an Air Soft product. It is made by Leapers who does make Air soft products. I run a UTG on my Romanian AK and a UTG quad rail on my SBR AR. Both are rock solid. The UTG runs about $60-$70. I've put about 500 rounds through the AK and 700 rounds thru the AR with zero problems. I run Vertical grips on both as well as lights and Eotechs. So far my zero hasn't changed. |
