is there such a thing as a 20 round ak magazine? or one made specifically for the saigas?

Sure are... Look for the Hungarian Tanker mags. I think they were issued with the AMD-65s and there were hundreds on the market... They are great mags!

I know where to get them locally, wrapped in paper, and in great shape. 26 bucks if I'm not mistaken, and he's got a bunch in stock.

That's what I prefer, I think they are nicer than the 30's, easier to shoot from a bench, and one box of ammo equals one mag.

Yeah I have one of those AMD-65 mags and it works like a champ. It doesn't stick out as far as the 30 rounders and it's not quite as heavy. I like the AR 20 rounders for the same reason.

Widener's has them for $17. Have ordered a couple, they were in great, almost new shape. They used to sell them for $12 each a while back.

I have some steel ones and I love them, just wish someone made 20 round waffle mags.

I have around 10 of the Hungarian 20s. They are made the same as regular 30 round Combloc mags, just shorter. I prefer them to the 30s due to the lower profile and the rifle handles better with them.

I like them for my truck gun (Polish undefolder). 5 Magazines gives me 100 rounds.
