I have decided to pick up a budget blaster so that I can start burning some of the budget ammo.  Looking for AK-74 to burn the corosive cheap stuff for a while.  Can stock up from Century with free shipping.

Gunshow coming up in Houston this weekend.

SAR-2 ?
Tantal maybe?
Not really looking to drop 1100 on an Arsenal.

What to look for, hmmmmm.........

Edit cause I can't spell.

A good used SAR-2 would definitely be your best bet.
Never heard any complaints about them other than rough finish or a bit of trigger slap.
(I have a 2000yr mfg SAR-3 and it's a great little rifle )

Don't pay over  say $425 though.(unless a bunch of goodies are included )

Next best bet would be an older Bulgarian kit-built 74 from a decent builder.
Check it out THOROUGHLY and get a return guarantee from the Dealer in case
it's a dog. ( $600 MAX IMHO )

I think the Tantals are a bit overpriced , but its your call.
