Wow Don, that's one hell of a thought train I'll try to answer some of it.

Quoted:
#1, if you have a regesterd recevier and a kit will that count as a ( Grandfathered ) firearm that you can finish building.

I believe so, yes.  The receiver is the firearm, so stock up on receivers for what you want to build.

#2 If you own a preban recevier ( After a new ban ) would you be able to build it with preban parts.

Yes, as long as it's serialized and can be proved it was made during no-ban times.  Just keep in mind any legislation may call for a registration, in which case I don't know?  I guess you would register the receiver then could build on it later?

...trying to pickup receviers, mags, kits and everything else I can get my hands on.

Always a great idea.  Get some Romy kits instead of the M92 (IMO).  Buy as many as you can.  The M92 is badass, but if I had a choice, I'd spend the money on a couple Romy kits and make some variety out of it.  I had a M92 kit and sold it because it was too nice for me...

...and he said from what he heard from Peter is the ban on imported ammo, NO MORE 1000 round cases,

BS.  Don't pay too much attention to someone trying to sell you a product for a panic buy.

 Good luck!

You guys do realize that if a ban is passed, there is absolutely no guarantee that it will grandfather receivers or existing firearms, or allow kit building on your stripped receiver?  They can write it the way they want and you can count on them trying to close loopholes they left the last time.

However, the more important question is, what does it take before you will fight?  When you no longer have anything left to fight with?  You may not be sheeple, but I still see a lot of sheep DNA.

Good points Dorsai, but I was answering his questions he wanted answered, not making up my own question.

They don't have to grandfather anything, correct.  In which case, we're all screwed.

The fighting is implicit.  It's an "if" question after something has been passed.  Not "will you fight it?".  He wanted simple answers (which I may have oversimplified), not a rant about how he shouldn't give up.  We're all on the same side here.
