Well, when I bought this rifle I figured, "what the heck, it is a cheap gun.  If it works good, great. If not, oh well it was cheap any way".  Well I am pleased with my purchase.  The gun looks to be put together solidly, but like may before mine, the front sight is slightly canted to the right.  The wood stock and hand guards are in good shape, no dings or scratches. Finish and condition on the metal is close to 100%.  When I got the gun I ended up just wiping off the grease film with some paper towels and then I ran the bore brush through it a few times with CLP.  I figured I would give the 4 different types of magazines that I have a fit. Pro Mag, Romanian and Bulgarian Waffle mags all fit good, with the normal amount of mag wobble.  My Chinese Mags will not fit, they are to wide to fit in the mag well.  I set up my 20 inch X 40 inch target and took 6 shots @ 25 yards and hit center mass within about a 3 inch ring.  Then I stepped back to 50 yards and fired off 45 more rounds.  I couldn't get farther from my target because it is a heavely wooded area.  All of my well aimed shots were with in a 4.5 in ring.  I then continued to fire off a total of 220 rounds.  Using all of the magazines that fit I had no malfunctions untill I tried to bump fire it with some HP rounds.  Then it had a feeding malfunction.  Other than that I feel the rifle worked great.  I was very surprised that it worked with no problems, except for the bump fire incident.  Even my 2 Pro Mags worked with out any Problems.  Overall feeling is that it was well worth the $$ spent.

Thanks for the report.  They have got a lot of bad press here and on other sites.  There have been problems with them in the past, but I think those have been largely ironed out.
If it doesn't have the Tapco G2, get one.  They are well worth the cost.

i have two and would trust my life to the one. its never had a single problem in over 2k rounds. the other one i havent got to shoot yet, but it had a problem fitting the yugo mags into the magwell... dremel fixed that right up. the monkeys at century didnt open it enough, my other one though fits all mags with no problems. sure, they arent the prettiest or best, but they are great for the money.

The WASR is like the girl in High School we all knew. A little rough around the edges, but will guarantee you a good time.
